Do Jared Leto and Lupita Nyong'o share more than just Oscar nominations for best supporting actor/actress?

According to a report from the New York Post's Page Six, Leto, 42, and fellow Academy Awards contender, Nyong'o, 30, were spotted "cozying up" during a date at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City Wednesday night. "They were huddled at a corner table together," a source told the gossip column, adding, "[They were] looking very close."

This isn't the first time the actors have caused relationship buzz. According to the Page Six report, the pair was seen "staying close together" at the 2014 Golden Globes in January. The rumored duo also posed next to one another on the cover of Vanity Fair's coveted 20th annual Hollywood issue, released earlier this month.

While neither actor has confirmed nor denied their alleged new romance, fans of the critically acclaimed pair are already buzzing about the possibility of their rumored courtship.

"whoah whoah whoah Lupita Nyong'o and Jared Leto? *explodes* I can't take it," posted Twitter user @Luvina_things Friday. "If rumors are true then Jared Leto and Lupita Nyong'o are the hottest couple I've ever seen," shared user @yarasilva1. "Lupita and Jared make such a stunning couple," said user @Treasure9Hunter.

Leto, who was previously attached to A-list actress Cameron Diaz, was last rumored to be dating "Divergent" star, Shailene Woodley, 22. The actors sparked relationship rumors last December after photographers caught them enjoying an outing in New York City's East Village.

Last month, Leto and Nyong'o were both nominated for their first Academy Awards: Leto for his supporting role in the biographic drama "Dallas Buyers Club" and Nyong'o for her breakout supporting role in the historical piece "12 Years a Slave." The pair may be lauded at the 86th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles, March 2.
