Has Jazz Jennings finally said goodbye to reality TV after the finale episode of “I Am Jazz” Season 7 this week?

The 21-year-old trans activist left her fans confused when she decided to look back at the earlier seasons of her family’s TLC series a day after the latest season of the show wrapped up.

Jennings uploaded on Instagram a series of photos from the past seasons Wednesday, a day after the Season 7 finale aired on TLC. The pictures showed her and her family through the years.

“That’s a wrap!!! I can’t believe it’s been seven seasons of ‘I Am Jazz!’ My family and I are so blessed to have been given this platform to spread unconditional love and bring awareness to the transgender community for the past seven years,” she wrote in the caption.

The reality star continued, “Since season 1, we’ve all grown so much, and as a family, we are closer than ever. In terms of my personal growth, I’ve been challenged to focus introspectively and confront who I am as a woman. I’m beyond proud of how far I’ve come on my journey, but I have a lot more growth to do.”

Jennings concluded her emotional post by thanking all her fans who supported “I Am Jazz” through the years. She also extended her gratitude to the staff and crew who made their reality show possible.

After reading her post, many of her followers couldn’t help but wonder if it was a sign that Jennings was leaving the spotlight. Some said that they had no issue with her series ending now that Jennings is going to college.

“I still can’t believe it’s been seven seasons, but this season has been really awesome. Can’t wait for season 8,” one commented on her post.

A different user quickly responded to the comment saying, “Sounds like there won’t be another season to me.”

“Wait, so there’s no more?” a third user asked.

“Thank you for everything you do. Your work doesn’t go unnoticed. I really hope there is a season 8, but if not, I will keep following you on social media. Thanks for an amazing seven seasons. It’s really appreciated,” a fourth user wrote.

“Wait… Is that it??? No more Jazz??? Noooooooo… if that’s the case, best of luck to you and your wonderful family. You guys are amazing,” another netizen added.

TLC has not announced plans for another season so far. Tuesday’s finale showed Jennings saying goodbye to her family as she was about to attend Harvard University and live an independent life.

When her mom, Jeanette Jennings, did a Zoom interview with Dr. Kryss Shane for MediaVillage before the finale, she did say that the fate of the series was really up to them. However, it may be difficult for Jennings to film the reality series while studying at Harvard.

“I can say this, that it’s really in our hands, to put it that way. It’s really what Jazz wants to do, so it could be. But if she’s like tied up with summer school or something, they can’t film up at Harvard. They’re not allowed to … have cameras up there. Without her, we wouldn’t have a show,” Jeanette said.
