KEY POINTS

  • Jazz Jennings dropped a new teaser ahead of "I Am Jazz" Season 8
  • The reality star shared a clip showing her family's reaction to her Harvard admission
  • Jazz's mom Jeanette couldn't contain her happiness after hearing the news

Jazz Jennings and her family will finally return on air this week, and the titular star of "I Am Jazz" excitedly shared a peek into what went down when she got accepted into Harvard University.

On Monday, the 22-year-old trans activist took to Instagram to share a candid video showing how she and her family reacted upon learning that she got admitted into the Ivy League university.

In the clip, Jazz checks her phone to find out the result of her admission effort.

"About to find out if I was accepted into Harvard," she says at the start of the video while scrolling through her phone. She then smiles while reading, "Congratulations," in her email.

The Jennings family couldn't contain their happiness so they start screaming out of joy. Jazz's mom, Jeanette, even rushes to give her daughter a hug.

"Oh my God. Oh my God. She got into Harvard," Jeanette repeatedly says after embracing her youngest child. The camera then turns to Jazz's brother, Griffen, who says he's "speechless."

At the end of the clip, the camera pans back to Jazz who admits, "I'm just... I don't even know what to feel. That's Harvard."

"The day I was accepted into Harvard! Can't wait to keep sharing more of my life journey on the new season of #IAmJazz #Harvard #CollegeAcceptance," she captioned her post.

However, fans were quick to point out that the clip Jazz shared was from years ago and that it showed their reaction the first time she got into Harvard before dropping out and getting readmitted.

"This was from years ago eventually she dropped out because of emotional stuff," one wrote.

"This was from 3-4 years ago. What is new? Have anything from your second trip to Harvard for us?" another asked.

On the other hand, several ignored the issue and opted to congratulate Jazz. They also expressed their excitement for the all-new season.

"Would love to see more of your Harvard journey," one fan stated.

"So proud of you. I remember when you first said you wanted to go to Harvard on the show. You are extremely smart and you're going to go so far in life," a different netizen commented.

"I Am Jazz" Season 8 premieres on Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST on TLC. As previously reported, the show will feature Jazz's life after moving out of their family home and living independently while attending Harvard.

The official synopsis released late last year indicated that the new season will mostly be about Jazz's return to Florida after completing her first year at the prestigious school.

Early this month, People released an exclusive first look at the returning show, and it teased the hate Jazz received when she started attending the school in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

"I get death threats almost on a daily basis. People will comment on my photos saying, 'Burn in hell. Kill yourself. You're an abomination,'" Jazz said in the clip.

The reality star went on to share that it was really scary knowing that some people who sent her death threats knew where she was staying since they were sending their threats to her location.
