Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are closer 15 years after their bitter split.

Aniston and Pitt got married in 2000 but parted ways five years later. Pitt dated Angelina Jolie and eventually married her. It wasn't an easy split. In fact, the “Cake” actress reportedly threw Pitt out on their last holiday as a married couple because it was at the time when Pitt confessed his feelings for the “Maleficent” star. Years later, Aniston married Justin Theroux.

In 2016, Pitt and Jolie announced their separation. In February 2017, Aniston and Theroux released a statement announcing their amicable split. Since then, fans are hoping that Pitt and Aniston would reconcile.

It’s been almost 15 years since Pitt and Aniston parted ways, and things have gotten better between the exes. According to an insider, the pair have rekindled their friendship.

“They’ve built their bond and rekindled their friendship so much more than it was the past few years now that they’re both single,” an insider said, The Sun reported. “They’ve realised what’s important in life and since they shared so much love for each other it’s such a nice thing for them both to have this kind of close friendship again. They trust each other and love the fact that they have someone who has their back.”

Pitt and Aniston have been spotted together multiple times this year. Pitt attended the “Murder Mystery” star’s 50th birthday bash in February. A few weeks ago, he was spotted attending Aniston’s holiday party.

According to an eyewitness, Pitt was among the first and the second to the last person to leave Aniston’s home. Several sources confirmed the exes friendship despite the romantic rumors involving them.

Another insider told E! News that Pitt and Aniston don’t talk often but when they do, it’s very warm and positive. In fact, it’s not a big deal to them to see each other anymore.

“They’ve been in touch over the last few years and talk occasionally. If they run into each other they will congratulate each other and exchange pleasantries. They want the best for each other. There are no issues with being in the same place at the same time.”

Pitt and Aniston are expected to reunite at Golden Globe Awards in 2020. According to a source, their upcoming reunion will not be tense or uncomfortable because they have been good friends and they occasionally connect.
