Jennifer Garner and her son, Samuel, recently stepped out for an outing together in Los Angeles.

On Monday, Garner, 49, was all smiles as she held her 7-year-old son Samuel's hand while they took their dog for a walk. In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Garner dressed casually for their dog-walk in a gray cropped coat, white shirt, denim jeans and white sneakers. She accessorized with sunglasses and kept her hair tied up in a ponytail.

Meanwhile, her son Samuel, whom she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, along with daughters Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, looked adorable in his white polo shirt, khaki shorts and blue sneakers. He was also photographed holding their dog's leash while his mom held his hand.

Garner's latest sighting comes just a few days after Affleck revealed that she had been "devastated" by something their son did.

During a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Affleck recalled how disappointed Garner had been when Samuel did not approve of her dressing up as Astrid during his "How To Train Your Dragon"-themed party last week.

Affleck told reporter Nischelle Turner at the premiere of his latest movie, "Triple Frontier," that he "felt so bad" and Garner had been "devastated" after having put on leather armor, fur boots, a matching shawl and blue face paint for their son's party. "[Jennifer] had gone to all these lengths to put on the costume," he said, adding, "We're just not that cool."

Affleck also made an appearance on the "Today" show earlier this week and opened up about his sobriety journey.

“Being an alcoholic, it’s part of my life, it’s something that I deal with,” Affleck said. “It doesn’t have to subsume my whole identity and be everything but it is something that you have to work at.”

“I had a problem and I really want to address it and I take some pride in that,” he added. “It’s about yourself, your life, your family… we encounter these kinds of hurdles and we have to deal with them.”

During the interview, Affleck also opened up about Garner and how she is still the "most important central person" in his life as the mother of his three children. When host Hoda Kotb mentioned "you can tell you still love her," Affleck didn't bat an eye before saying, "Of course, she's wonderful."
