Ben Affleck wants to start dating again, but he first wants to concentrate on his health. Sources close to the actor have revealed that he is leading a healthier lifestyle these days to become a better partner to his future girlfriend, and his ex Jennifer Garner is reportedly being supportive of him being on the “right path.”

A source close to Affleck told ET Online that the actor has been leading a healthier lifestyle these days by exercising regularly, eating well, and by spending time with his children. His family members, including his ex Garner are reportedly very happy with the actor for taking these steps.

Affleck shares three children with Garner- 13-year-old Violet, 10-year-old Seraphina and 7-year-old Samuel. Garner motivated the actor to be the best he can be for the sake of their children, according to the insider.

With constant reminders by Garner to be the best he can be, Affleck is reportedly trying to do what is best for not only himself but also the whole family. The big reason that motivated him to make these changes apparently came from taking the time to think about the blessings he has in his life, and consider the things he could lose.

Affleck has admitted to being an alcoholic, but he has been making progress in becoming sober. Another source told People that the actor is “doing great” now. The insider added that the actor continues to face “challenges,” but now he is more focussed on the children.

One of the things that Affleck and kids like to do is go out to Barton G. Restaurant in Los Angeles. The actor was there recently with the children to celebrate Father’s Day, People reported. The family enjoyed liquid nitrogen “mocktails,” salmon, a themed cake, s’mores desserts, and other dishes that evening.

Meanwhile, Garner continues to date John Miller. According to sources, the two of them have been spending a lot of time together.

Affleck sees how Garner is happy with her boyfriend, according to an insider, but he wants to take it slow when it comes to him dating someone. The actor wants to first become healthy, and then look at a partner who can support him in his healthy lifestyle.
