Jennifer Affleck and Ben Affleck's rekindled romance surprised not only fans but also the two stars.

The "Hustlers" actress appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Wednesday to promote her upcoming romantic comedy, "Marry Me." During her chat with host Ellen DeGeneres, Lopez, 52, was asked about the moment she and Affleck, 49, decided to get back together — 17 years after they called off their engagement.

"I don't think anybody was more surprised than us," Lopez said with a laugh.

On a more serious note, DeGeneres asked if the singer had ever imagined that she would find her way back into the "Justice League" star's life full circle.

"You never could imagine that something like that could happen. It's a beautiful thing," Lopez said.

Lopez admitted to the talk show host that she is "in love" with Affleck again — as she also mentioned in her People cover story earlier this month.

The singer-actress also revealed in the episode that she and the "Tender Bar" actor sneak off to the "bathroom" when they need "private moments" to "have talks [and] to do things" away from their respective children.

Lopez shares 13-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three kids with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 9.

Lopez and Affleck dated and got engaged in 2002 but called it quits two years later. They rekindled their relationship in April 2021 after their respective splits from Alex Rodriguez and Ana de Armas.

The "On the Floor" hitmaker recently told People that she experienced "a little bit of fear" about reuniting with Affleck following the intense media scrutiny that caused their previous breakup.

"We both were like, 'Wow, we're so happy and we don't want any of that to come into play again,'" Lopez explained.

"We're older now, we're smarter, we have more experience, we're at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things. We're so protective because it is such a beautiful time for all of us," she added.

During a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Lopez also said that she doesn't see them ever breaking up again.

"I don't think we would have got back together if we thought that was where it was headed," she told the magazine. "We feel like what we found again is so much more important, and how we protect that and how we live our lives — what to share, what not to share — is the balance that we have now, the benefit of experience and the wisdom that we gained over the years."

The couple recently got cozy on the white carpet ahead of a special screening of Lopez's new film "Marry Me" in Los Angeles.

Lopez, who rocked a white, long sleeve mini dress with lace illusion detail, snuggled, smiled and posed for the cameras with Affleck, who looked dapper in a gray suit, white button-down shirt and black coat.

"Marry Me" hits theaters Friday.
