The upcoming romantic comedy revolves around a couple's destination wedding. The wedding gets hijacked by a bunch of criminals and the couple works together in order to save their families.

"Shotgun Wedding" is produced by Ryan Reynolds and Lopez. The singer has been keeping fans updated about the movie by actively sharing behind-the-scenes pictures from the set.

The songstress recently split from her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez. A source revealed that Lopez tried her best to save this relationship.

"She tried her hardest to make the relationship work, but it just wasn't making her happy anymore. She knew it was time to let go," a source told ET. "There were issues when it came to wedding plans and trust issues that she couldn't get past."

"Her kids are sad about the breakup because they all grew so close, but ultimately want what's best for their mom and for her to be happy," the source added. "There is still love and respect between the two families."

The singer shared a black and white photo Wednesday dedicated to her ex-fiancé's daughter, Ella, to celebrate her birthday. In the photo, Ella and Lopez can be seen hugging each other. Rodriguez also took to Instagram on the same day to share a video featuring him, his daughter, and Lopez to celebrate her 13th birthday.

"I just can't believe my Ella Bella turns 13 today. My baby girl is officially a teenager!!" he added. "Ella - everyday you amaze me more than I could have ever imagined. You are smart, mature, talented, caring, and funny."

Lopez will be seen in another romantic comedy, "Marry Me," which is slated to release on Feb. 11, 2022.
