Though things are not great between Jennifer Lopez and her longtime partner Alex Rodriguez, the singer has shown that she still cares about his family. She shared a black and white photo dedicated to her ex-fiancé's daughter, Ella, on the girl's birthday Wednesday.

The 51-year-old singer, who broke up with Rodriguez earlier this month, added an unseen picture of her and Ella on her Instagram Story on Wednesday to celebrate her 13th birthday.

In the photo, Ella can be seen hugging Lopez and looking away candidly while the "Maid In Manhattan" star's eyes are closed. Rodriguez also took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video featuring him and his daughter to celebrate her birthday. "13. Wow," he captioned. "That number has meant a lot to me over the years, but today, it's even more special than ever."

"I just can't believe my Ella Bella turns 13 today. My baby girl is officially a teenager!!" he added. "Ella - everyday you amaze me more than I could have ever imagined. You are smart, mature, talented, caring, and funny."

"I am so proud of the young woman you are becoming and so lucky and grateful to be your dad. I love you so much," the former baseball player wrote. "Happy magical 13th birthday sweetheart!"

Lopez and Rodriguez announced their breakup on April 15 after dating for four years and being engaged for two years. The former couple shared a joint statement to ET at the time saying, "We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects."

"We wish the best for each other and one another's children," they added. "Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to every one who has sent kind words and support."

Speaking about their decision to separate, a friend of Lopez told People on Wednesday, "She insisted on it. There are too many issues that are unresolved. She has been pretty miserable and didn't think it was in her best interests to stay with Alex."

The former couple got engaged in March 2019 and seemed to be happy together as they celebrated Lopez's performance at President Joe Biden's Inauguration in January. Moreover, they also celebrated Valentine's Day together.
