There's some good news and there's some bad news.

The good news is that MTV has renewed "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" for Season 4. The bad news is that the cast that audiences have come to love (or hate) may not be the same.

News of the reality show's renewal broke on Wednesday, a week after the dramatic, emotional, and highly successful Season 3 finale. According to Deadline, the "Jersey Shore" revival is ranked as the "No. 1 cable series across all key demos in its time period" and is "MTV’s second highest-rated series in 18-34 behind "The Challenge: Total Madness."

Even with the show's success, it may not be enough to keep its main cast intact. For years, fans have followed the lives of Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Jennifer "JWOWW" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Angelina Pivarnick, and Deena Nicole Cortese. However, Season 4 is already shaping up to be much different than the others because one of the stars already quit.

Viewers watched as Nicole tearfully discussed her retirement from "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" during the Season 3 finale, though she actually announced it months earlier on her podcast "It's Happening with Snooki & Joey."

"I am retiring from Jersey Shore," she told listeners in December. "I am not coming back to Jersey Shore [Family Vacation] for a season four if there is one. There's a lot of reasons why, but the main reason is really, I'm just like...I just can't do it anymore."

With Nicole out it begs the question: Are any other "Jersey Shore" stars going to quit?

While there have been no official announcements, it seems both Jenni and Vinny have made their stance clear.
