Olivia Munn is expecting her first child with boyfriend John Mulaney, but her friends are not optimistic about their future as a couple, according to a report.

Munn, 41, and the 39-year-old comedian's relationship is facing much "uncertainty" amid the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star's pregnancy, an unnamed source told Us Weekly.

While sources close to Munn believe they will co-parent their baby well, their bundle of joy might not be enough to keep them together as a couple, the insider added.

"This has been an imperfect relationship from the start," the source told the outlet.

Due to this, Munn's inner circle is concerned that her romance with Mulaney might be over as fast as it started, according to the source. "Even though Olivia’s going to be a wonderful mother and has great support behind her, Olivia’s friends just don’t see these two being a couple in a year’s time," the insider added.

Munn and Mulaney's loved ones reportedly believe that the two would "make great parents" to their child, but they aren't sure whether the couple would end up raising the baby together or apart.

"Olivia and John still have to decide what kind of future they’re going to have together, if any," the tipster said. "It’s a time of uncertainty, for both of them."

The insider added that the couple is "a long way from deciding and locking in what their relationship is going to be going forward."

Reports that Mulaney, 39, and Munn had started dating surfaced just three days after the comedian's reps announced back in May that he was divorcing his wife of six years, Anna Marie Tendler.

At the time, Tendler's rep said it was Mulaney who initiated the split. Unnamed sources also told Page Six that the "Saturday Night Live" writer asked for a divorce "three months" prior to the announcement.

"I am heartbroken that John has decided to end our marriage," Tendler said in a statement to People. "I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery."

Mulaney officially filed divorce papers in New York in late July. Two months later, the comedian announced Munn's pregnancy on "Late Night With Seth Meyers."

A source close to Tendler told Page Six in September that the "news about the pregnancy will be very difficult for" the artist. According to the insider, Tendler had been "heartbroken" over how their split went down and wanted their relationship to work out.

Mulaney's split from Tendler came just months after he checked himself into a 60-day rehab program in December last year to seek treatment for alcohol and cocaine addictions. The comedian had been sober since 2005 when he fell off the wagon amid the coronavirus pandemic.
