  • Keanu Reeves starts training for "John Wick 4" and "Matrix 4"
  • He was seen with guns in holsters in a photo that has been shared online
  • Both the films will be released on the same day in 2021

Keanu Reeves has started training to reprise his titular role in the action flick “John Wick 4.” A picture of him with a group of stunt trainers has surfaced online that confirms that the actor is preparing to film the next installment of the franchise soon.

Taran Butler, who did some stunts for “John Wick 2” and was also the tactical weapons advisor, shared a picture of Reeves with a few stunt trainers on Instagram. The picture shows the stunt trainers carrying guns on their hips, and Reeves two can be seen carrying at least two guns in the holsters.

The social media post also confirms that Reeves will be training for both “John Wick: Chapter 4” and “Matrix 4.” The actor has his hands full in the coming months. After wrapping work for “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” he has been busy with “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.”

Reeves prefers to do most of the stunts himself. According to Screen Rant, there is an advantage for him to start training for both “John Wick 4” and “Matrix 4” at the same time.

The training will help Reeves be in top shape to film the two movies. The only problem is that the two action movies are physically demanding, and they are both being filmed around the same time, which can be taxing for the actor.

Since the release dates of both the movies falls on the same day, the date of one of the movies is expected to be shifted, Collider reported. Since Reeves is in both the action movies, it may affect the box office collection if they hit the theaters around the same time.

Both “John Wick 4” and “Matrix 4” are slated to be released on May 21, 2021. It remains to be seen if the release date of one of the movies is delayed to avoid this clash at the box office.
