  • Ellen Barkin will star in an episode of the Peacock series “Poker Face”
  • The project will be helmed by Rian Johnson
  • She is also set to appear in Netflix’s action-comedy “The Out-Laws”

Johnny Depp’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin just secured a role in Peacock’s upcoming series “Poker Face” after testifying in court against the actor.

The 68-year-old actress was tapped to star in an episode of the mystery drama from renowned filmmaker Rian Johnson, Deadline exclusively revealed Wednesday.

Details about Barkin’s role in the project and the plot of the anthology-like series are still unknown, but she is joining a growing list of cast members.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Adrien Brody, Chloë Sevigny, Dascha Polanco, Benjamin Bratt, Lil Rel Howery, Natasha Lyonne, Stephanie Hsu and David Castañeda were previously announced to be part of the show.

This would be Barkin’s return to the small screen after playing Janine “Smurf” Cody in TNT’s “Animal Kingdom.” She is also set to appear in Netflix’s action-comedy “The Out-Laws” next.

The news comes after Barkin testified in court for Amber Heard during the trial for the defamation lawsuit that Depp filed against his ex-wife.

During the trial, the jury heard from Barkin via a pretaped deposition in which she detailed one violent incident involving her and Depp. The two were romantically involved in the past and even appeared together in the 1998 adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” as per Vanity Fair.

Barkin claimed that the 59-year-old actor was controlling, demanding and always jealous during their relationship. She alleged that during one of their arguments, Depp threw a wine bottle, but it did not hit anyone.

Talking about her ex’s jealousy, Barkin said that Depp got mad at her once after spotting a scratch on her back. She said he thought it was “from me having sex with a person who wasn’t him.”

Depp and Barkin’s relationship, which she claimed was only “sexual,” lasted only for three to six months, according to the BBC.

Depp ended up winning the case as the jury sided with him, causing Heard to lose the bulk of her countersuit. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

Depp reportedly splurged on Indian food after his legal victory, spending around $60,000 on a meal when he and his friends stepped out to celebrate.
