Johnny Depp spent tens of thousands of dollars on a lavish celebratory dinner following his big win in his legal battle against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Before the verdict was announced in his defamation trial against Heard Wednesday, Depp, 58, flew to England, where he has been performing on stage alongside pal Jeff Beck at the latter's shows.

On Sunday night, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star treated Beck and 20 other friends to dinner at Varanasi, a restaurant in Birmingham, England, after a Virginia jury sided with Depp in his lawsuit and awarded him more than $10 million in damages, TMZ reported.

The group feasted on Indian food, and the restaurant's operations director Mohammed Hussain told the outlet that Depp's bill amounted to around $60,000.

Varanasi was closed down to the public so Depp and his friends could enjoy their meal in peace, he added.

Hussain revealed that he was shocked when Depp stopped by his restaurant. He described the actor as an extremely humble guy and said they even chatted for a while in his private office.

The report about Depp's lavish dinner received mixed responses on social media, with some wondering how his group could have racked up such a massive bill.

"My guess would be a lot of that money was compensation to basically reserve the entire restaurant," one Twitter user suggested.

"If you are an owner of a restaurant, and Jennifer Lopez tells you, 'Hey can you close the restaurant for me and 20 [guests],' and you do it, [do] you think she will only pay for those 20 plates? No, I don't think so. She will compensate you for closing and losing your people for that day," another opined.

"[Depp] earned it. And with as much as he gives of his money and his time, I have no problem with it," one fan wrote.

"There is nothing wrong with that! Let him have fun, let him enjoy!" another added.

Last week, Heard was found liable for defaming Depp in an op-ed about surviving domestic abuse that was published in the Washington Post in 2018.

The "Aquaman" actress was also awarded $2 million in damages as she partially won her countersuit over comments made by Depp's former lawyer calling her abuse allegations a hoax.

Following the verdict, Depp released a statement via Instagram, saying that "the jury gave me back my life" after six years and that he was "truly humbled."

He thanked the jury, the judge, his legal team and everyone who supported him during his legal battle. Depp said he was "overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and the colossal support and kindness from around the world."

He ended his message by telling his fans and supporters that "the best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun."
