Julianne Hough Dishes On Her ‘Even Better’ Married Life With Brooks Laich

Julianne Hough recently opened up about her married life to husband Brooks Laich.

On her Instagram account, the “Dancing With the Stars” judge shared an adorable photo of the two of them during their “incredible” honeymoon. Hough captioned the snap by saying that their real life together was so much better than their honeymoon phase. She added that she loves waking up beside her husband every single day and doing things together.

Towards the end of her lengthy caption, Hough said that she looks up to her husband as a “human, as a friend, and as a human being.” She also thanked Laich for encouraging her to be the best version of herself and hopes that she does the same for him.

Hough also encouraged her four million followers on Instagram to read Laich’s sweet post about the kind of marriage he has with his wife. The athlete said that men like him are oftentimes perceived as someone with “Type-A aggressive personality.” However, Laich stressed that it’s important to be competitive in the field, but be gentle with one’s wife and loved ones. “Be fierce in competition, and be heartfelt in love,” he concluded his caption.

Laich and Hough tied the knot on July 8 near the Coeur d’Alene in Idaho, according to Entertanment Tonight. Their ceremony was attended by Hough’s brother, Derek, as well as her best friend and bridesmaid, Nina Dobrev.

In an interview with People, Hough admitted that she never thought of her wedding day as a kid. “I don’t think I ever really necessarily dreamed about my wedding as a kid. But I know I will always cherish and remember it for the rest of my life,” she said.

Following their intimate wedding, Hough and Laich went on a Safari honeymoon. They also jetted off to a secluded island paradise in the Indian Ocean. The couple also shared several photos from their recent trips.

But now that their honeymoon is over, Hough is already gearing to return as judge in “Dancing With the Stars” Season 25. Laich, on the other hand, will continue playing ice hockey as an unrestricted free agent.
