Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Baldwin headed to Laguna Beach in California recently to relax and soak up the sun. The outing comes at a time when the singer has admitted to struggling with his mental health.

Bieber and Baldwin were spotted at the Laguna Beach on Saturday morning, People reported. During their outing, the "Love Yourself" singer was reportedly seen with his head in his hands seemingly upset about something. His wife, who has stood by him through his struggles, appeared to be consoling him.

In a previous post on Instagram, Bieber had admitted that he has been “struggling a lot.” The singer wrote that he has been feeling “disconnected” and “weird.” He asked his fans to pray for him and said that the prayers “really work.”

In the same social media post, Bieber sounded both hopeful and confident about his ability to overcome these challenges. “I always bounce back so I’m not worried,” the singer had written at that time.

Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, told TMZ that she is “proud” of her son for the way he has handled himself under pressure. She did not, however, confirm that he has been getting treatment for depression.

Sources close to the singer confirmed that he has been making steady progress. The Instagram post of him admitting to his struggles was reportedly a part of the healing process.

A source called the act of publicly admitting to the mental struggles as a “big step.” Bieber was reportedly nervous about making his depression public, but he did it because he believed that his “road to improvement” comes with that kind of honesty.

Bieber is reportedly trying to understand some of the “root issues” of his mental struggles. He has been consulting with pastors and licensed professionals in order to resolve his problems. Sources close to the singer said that they are optimistic about him figuring out the “next chapter” in his life.
