Justin Bieber has been accused of sexual assault by at least two women, but the singer has shut down the claims.

On Saturday night (June 20), a woman named “Danielle” alleged in a Twitter statement that she had been assaulted by Bieber on March 9, 2014 at the Four Seasons hotel in Austin, Texas. At the time, Bieber made a surprise appearance at the South by Southwest Festival.

Danielle detailed the alleged sexual assault, saying that she and her friends were “approached” by a man who asked them if they wanted to meet the singer.

After agreeing, Danielle claimed that Bieber had asked her and two of her friends to join him in his hotel room, where she was sexually assaulted by the singer. Bieber reportedly made her “agree not to say anything to anyone,” threatening that she could get into “serious legal trouble.”

Bieber was quick to shut down these allegations via a series of tweets on Sunday, denying that he was in the hotel Danielle had mentioned.

“In the past 24 hours a new Twitter appeared that told a story of myself involved with sexual abuse on March 9, 2014 in Austin Texas at the Four seasons hotel,” the 26-year-old crooner wrote on his Twitter post. “I want to be clear. There is no truth to this story. In fact as I will soon show I was never present at that location.”

Bieber continued by saying that while he was at Austin at the time, he had been accompanied by then-girlfriend Selena Gomez.

“As her story told I did surprise a crowd in Austin at Sxsw where I appeared on stage with my then assistant side stage and sang a few songs,” Bieber continued in his tweets. “What this person did not know was that I attended that show with my then gf Selena Gomez.”

The “Yummy” singer backed up his statement by citing several news stories that appear to prove he was at the event and was accompanied by his former flame. Bieber also unearthed previous sexual assault claims, which he denied as well.

Bieber also accompanied his tweet thread with stories, pictures and receipts. He said he was at an Airbnb and the Westin hotel rather than the Four Seasons on the nights of March 9 and 10, 2014, respectively.

“Rumors are rumors but sexual abuse is something I don’t take lightly,” the singer had stated. “I wanted to speak out right away but out of respect to so many victims who deal with these issues daily I wanted to make sure I gathered the facts before I made any statement.”

Another accuser called "Kadi" also alleged that Bieber sexually assaulted her in New York in 2015, but the singer has not responded to this, per BBC.
