Kate Gosselin’s kids want to see her settle down. Five years after her divorce from husband and former co-star Jon Gosselin, the “Kate Plus 8” star claims its her children who want her to find love and make a second trip down the aisle.

“My kids say it constantly,” the TLC and NBC “Celebrity Apprentice” reality star told People Magazine. According to the 39-year-old mom of eight, its her daughter Leah, 10, who is the most adamant about her settling down. “Leah says, ‘We need someone besides you to look up to.’ They long for it,” Kate said.

Unfortunately for Kate's kids— twins Maddie and Carrie, 14, and 10-year-olds, Aaden, Collin, Alexis, Hannah and Joel— she isn’t ready to get married anytime soon. Despite several recent reports that Kate has been seeing millionaire businessman and Tennesseean Jeff Prescott, 51, since October, Kate claims there is no truth to the dating rumors.

“I’m like, ‘Really?’” Kate said of the reports she has been seeing the divorced dad of three. “I get it. Everyone wants me to be dating. I hear it loud and clear. It just doesn’t happen that easily, but I want it just as much as everyone else does.”

Kate’s latest comments echoes her June 2014 interview with Extra TV in which she revealed it is nearly impossible for her to find time to date.

“Unless I meet them in Target or in my kitchen, that’s the only place I’m going to meet someone,” she said.

So what kind of man is Kate looking to woo her? According to the TV personality, her future beau must be authoritative— “that person who can put their foot down”— and of course, he must love children.

“Somebody who is highly-motivated and loves a huge challenge and has tons of energy,” Kate told People. “This person would have to be not just willing, but excited at the prospect of eight kids and all the craziness.”

Kate’s comments about marriage comes on the heels of the return of her TLC reality series “Kate Plus 8.” The network aired the first episode of her four-part 2015 special Jan. 13. The next installment will air Tuesday, Jan. 20 at 9 p.m. EST on TLC. You can also catch up with Kate, sans her brood, Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on NBC's “Celebrity Apprentice.”
