Following a short stint on Netflix’s “House of Cards,” Kate Mara is getting read to suit up as a superhero in the “Fantastic Four” reboot. Though staying healthy was always a priority for the Hollywood starlet, she explained to E! News that she needed to step up her game for her new role as Sue Storm, who is best known as the Invisible Woman.

Mara said that previous superhero flicks might be notorious for spandex-wearing characters, but she hasn’t heard anything about having to dress in the stretchy fabric.

“I haven't been told anything specifically yet, but that could change once we start filming,” Mara said, adding that the new “Fantastic Four” film will be “much different” than previous versions.

Even so, don't count out that spandex just yet.

During an interview with IGN via Mstarz.com, Mara explained that she has limited knowledge about the flick even though filming is scheduled to start in a few weeks.

“Well I don't know very much about it, which is weird but true! Umm, all I know is that it's going to be a very different take on the film, which people may not expect,” the actress said.

“I'm not really familiar with the comic books ... I picked up a few when I got the part,” Mara said. “I think we're making a very grounded version of a superhero film. I trust Josh Trank's vision as I was a huge fan of ‘Chronicle.’”
