Kate Middleton always makes sure that her kids have something to munch on whenever she packs for their trips.

According to Harriet Mallinson, a journalist for Express, Middleton is just like any other moms when she prepares for their travels. The Duchess of Cambridge always makes sure to keep snacks to hand for her little ones.

In 2017, Middleton visited Royal Society of Medicine and a Tupperware full of snacks was spotted on the car seat armrest. The duchess reportedly does this to keep her children going during long state visits and appearances.

During Middleton’s visit to Lavender Primary School to support Children’s Mental Health Week, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed her family’s food habits. According to Middleton, Princess Charlotte loves olives. Her kids love “cheesy pasta,” too.

Aside from eating, Prince George and Princess Charlotte actually enjoy helping her in the kitchen especially when they cook their favorite “cheesy pasta” recipe.

In fact, Prince George and Princess Charlotte sometimes cook for her. One of them stir the flour while the other puts the milk and butter in. They also make salads and stuffs.

“Food is important to her and she understands the links between mental health and physical exercise,” Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust said.

On the said engagement Middleton found it interesting how food, energy and how one feels work together as a whole. She said that there is a connection between physical and mental well-being. The Duchess of Cambridge is an active advocate of mental health. She also supports various women and children charities.

Just like Middleton, Queen Elizabeth II also makes sure to have something to munch on during her trips. She reportedly brings her favorite snack a classic Dundee cake whenever she travels. She also brings some scones and a clotted cream.

Another travel essential for Queen Elizabeth is her hot water bottle. She also brings a feather pillow and a china tea set.

One time, her helper reportedly forgot to put a hot water bottle in the queen’s bed, so the monarch did it, herself.

According to an insider, when the Queen did it, she was amused. The source felt that the Queen actually found it a novelty.
