Kate Middleton Baby Bump Photos: Pregnant Duchess Meets One Direction With Prince William

Kate Middleton is back to her royal duties, which to the jealousy of teenage girls everywhere, most recently included a meet-and-greet with the stars of One Direction. The Duchess of Cambridge showed off her baby bump while greeting members of the British boy band during an appearance at the Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theater in London Thursday. Her husband, Britain’s Prince William, was also in attendance.

During their meeting, Us Weekly reports that one of the group's singers, Harry Styles, commented on Middleton’s second pregnancy. “I said congratulations on the bump,” Styles told the Mirror after his talk with the British royals. “[Although] she didn’t look bumpy,” he added.

One Direction singer Liam Payne described his meeting with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as nerve-wracking. “It’s the most nervous I think I’ve ever been in my life,” he said.

Other members of One Direction, including Niall Horn, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, were also in attendance at the event which supported the Entertainment Artists’ Benevolent Fund.

The Duchess, who is currently speculated to be at least 12 weeks along in her pregnancy, sported a black Diane Von Furstenburg full-length gown to the affair. Her dress was accompanied by diamond earrings, smokey eye makeup, and an updo.

The Duchess, whom the palace announced was expecting her second child just two months ago, was forced to cancel several appearances due to her bout with the pregnancy-related illness Hyperemesis Gravidarum. She officially returned to work last month, attending the welcoming ceremony for Singapore’s President Tony Tan at the Royal Garden Hotel in London with Prince William Oct. 21. Middleton last showed off her baby bump during a solo appearance at a SportsAid workshop in West London Wednesday, according to E! News.

Next on the agenda for the couple includes a trip overseas to the U.S. in December. On Friday, the Clarence House confirmed that the pair will attend various events in New York Dec. 7-9th. Prince William will reportedly make one solo trip to Washington D.C. on Dec. 8.

Middleton and Prince William, both 32, are expected to welcome their second child in April. The baby, which is rumored to be a girl, will join their 1-year-old son, HRH Prince George.
