Kate Middleton only recently returned to her royal duties after weeks of being treated for hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute form of morning sickness, but the pregnant duchess of Cambridge has already taken a vacation. Middleton and her husband, Prince William, both 32, are currently enjoying a "babymoon" in Scotland, Us Weekly reports.

The royal couple's 1-year-old son, HRH Prince George, joined them on their excursion. The vacation comes five months before Middleton is due to deliver their second child in April 2015.

“[She] is doing a lot better,” an insider “close to the couple” said of Middleton, who returned to her official duties Oct. 21 after over a month-long leave due to her pregnancy illness. “William wanted to take Kate away for a break" after her rough past couple of months.

The expectant parents are said to be staying at Queen Elizabeth II’s summer home, Balmoral Castle. While the duo usually visit the royal locale during the summer months alongside the monarch, this time, they have opted to visit while the monarch is in London.

“They both love outdoors and the weather isn’t too cold yet, so it’s the perfect time to take a trip,” an insider said.

Despite their vacation being considered a babymoon, an insider says the couple were more than happy to have Prince George tag along.

“It’s great that George is now at an age where he can travel,” a source said.

The duchess and duke of Cambridge’s Scotland getaway is rumored to be the first of two trips they will take this fall. Earlier this month, People magazine reported that pending Middleton’s morning sickness, she might visit New York City with Prince William in the “coming months.” According to a “royal source,” she has been keeping an “open mind” about the possibility of accompanying her husband to the U.S.
