Kate Middleton does not wear pants often, but when she does, the Duchess of Cambridge still looks effortlessly stylish and gorgeous.

On Tuesday, Middleton went on her first solo engagement for 2019 at the King Henry’s Walk Garden in the London borough of Islington, according to Elle. While there, Prince William's wife interacted with the volunteers and discussed the benefits of the urban green space. She also participated in a wide variety of activities, which included touring the garden, attending a winter planting workshop, building bird boxes and making pizzas in the garden's kitchen area.

What also drew attention was Middleton's simple but stylish tweed jacket and skinny jeans ensemble. For the outing, the duchess ditched her usual dresses and high heels for a more outdoorsy look.

Middleton wore an olive green tweed sports jacket from Dubarry, matching pants, and Chloe "See" boots. She also matched her accessories to the theme and wore gold leaf earrings by Kiki McDonough.

For those who don't like the jacket's $600 price tag, you can grab cheaper alternatives of the Dubarry sports jacket from Levi's or Velvet By Graham & Spencer.

Meanwhile, it seems Middleton had a blast during her visit to the community garden. Chris Young, a London area outreach adviser for the Royal Horticultural Society, revealed that he helped out the future queen with making bird boxes and that she seemed very "at home" while sitting with the kids.

“She enjoyed it even though it was quite chaotic,” Young told People. “She was at home sitting here and working on the bird boxes.”

While making pizza with a group of children, Middleton revealed that her two oldest kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will likely enjoy the activities being offered at the garden. She said that her 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter would be jealous if they hear about her doing fun activities while they were in school.

“George and Charlotte would love to be learning outside the classroom,” Middleton told the youngsters as they made pizzas.

"It’s still fun inside, but it’s much better outside,” she continued.
