Kate Middleton hasn’t visited Pippa Middleton at St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing, but she has a valid reason for not doing so.

Martha Cliff, a journalist for Daily Mail, revealed that the Duchess of Sussex was at an unannounced private engagement on Tuesday. Pippa gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Monday and less than 24 hours after she welcomed her son, Middleton hosted a meeting for one of her charity initiatives at the Kensington Palace.

“The Duchess of Cambridge this morning held a meeting of experts convened by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to inform her Royal Highnesses’s charitable ‘Early Years’ initiative,” the court circular from the palace read.

Since the mom of three’s engagement is a private one, no photos were released. The Early Years initiative is part of Middleton’s campaign to help children failed by “Broken Britain.”

Meanwhile, even though Middleton has not met her nephew in person, she and Prince William released a statement saying they are delighted to welcome the baby into their family. Pippa’s son is the cousin of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Royal fans are wondering whether or not Pippa’s son will have a royal title since his aunt is married to the future king. But Marlene Koenig, a royal historian, told Daily Mail that the baby won’t receive an official title from Queen Elizabeth II.

“Pippa is Mrs. James Matthews so her kids will be Mister or Miss Matthews. No titles whatsoever,” Koenig said before Pippa gave birth.

Even though the baby won’t be considered a royal, he is expected to spend plenty of time with his royal cousins. Since Pippa and Matthews’ son will just be a year older from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby, he will also get to spend much time with him.

Pippa and Matthews were last seen in public at Princess Eugenie’s wedding. After the birth of their son, Pippa is not expected to introduce the infant to the royal fans outside Lindo Wing. Middleton stood outside the facility with her baby and Prince William following Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis’ births.
