Pippa Middleton recently shared she avoids “penguin-style waddle” during the final stages of her pregnancy.

In her newest article for Waitrose Kitchen magazine (via People), Kate Middleton’s younger sister said that her exercise routine has helped her a lot throughout her pregnancy.

“I’ve continued to embrace barre-inspired workouts throughout pregnancy; a form of exercise taken from ballet which involves the small, isolated movements that develop flattering muscle tone. I feel far from a ballerina, but I’m equally determined not to break into a penguin-style waddle and plod around with bad posture. It’s excellent for pregnant women in all trimesters as you mostly rely on your body weight, so it means little impact for your joints and is generally low risk,” she wrote.

Middleton went on to gush about barre and said that it is a beneficial workout routine.

“It’s hugely beneficial in elongating, strengthening, and protecting the back and spine – plus engaging the lower body (hips, abs, buttocks, and particularly the legs),” she wrote.

Middleton also does yoga, Pilates, swimming, and cycling during her first pregnancy. The active woman gave up running recently to ensure her baby’s safety.

After reports about her pregnancy first broke out, Middleton confirmed that she has not suffered from morning sickness like the Duchess of Cambridge.

“I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering from morning sickness. That meant I was able to carry on as normal,” she said.

Last year, Kensington Palace announced that Kate was pregnant with her third child. At that time, the palace said that she was suffering from morning sickness just like what she experienced before giving birth to Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

As a result, Kate was unable to carry out royal duties during the first few months of all of her pregnancies. But her younger sister didn’t have the same issue. In fact, Middleton said that she continued to live an active lifestyle, but she also adjusted her four to a five-day-a-week fitness routine, according to People.
