Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding guests recently took a trip down memory lane as they recalled the duchess' stunning appearance during their royal nuptials a decade ago.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this Thursday. Recounting their lavish 2011 royal wedding, some of those who witnessed the event in person said the bride's arrival was still so vivid in their memories.

"Everything outside just roared," Martin Fidler, one of the locals from Middleton's hometown of Bucklebury who attended the royal wedding, told People. "You could hear it all outside to begin with as she approached. It was like a wave of sound getting louder and louder as she got closer to the Abbey. When the trumpets started inside to announce that she'd arrived, it's a wonder the roof didn't lift off!"

Martin and his wife, Sue Fidler, were among those who joined the crowd to get a glimpse of the royal bride. According to him, the people screamed and shouted when the duchess made her way inside the Westminster Abbey.

"When Kate came in — what a wonderful sight. She looked incredible," Martin told the outlet. "And she hasn't changed a bit in 10 years."

Sue added, "We couldn't actually see William and Kate during the ceremony, but we could hear the service on the loudspeakers, and we saw Kate and William walk back down the aisle as a married couple."

Martin and Sue also said hundreds of people who had gathered to watch the ceremony on the village green were still celebrating when they returned to Bucklebury from London that evening.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently shared new portraits of them on social media to mark their 10th wedding anniversary. One photo appeared reminiscent of their 2010 engagement portrait as it showed Prince William with his arms wrapped around his wife, who cuddled up to him.

Royal fans praised Prince William and Middleton’s nearly two-decade romance, saying they were the epitome of true love. They also noted that the future king and queen didn’t rush in their relationship and waited almost a decade before they decided to tie the knot.

"I love the fact when her friends said to Kate 'you're so lucky to be dating William' she replied he's lucky to be dating me! They didn't rush and made sure they were right for each other lovely," one netizen commented on their new snaps.

"A solid match, thank goodness William has such a loving wife, wishing them a lifetime of marital bliss, Happy Anniversary," another fan wrote.
