Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are quite different from each other, and they also tackle royal file on their own terms.

Sarah Grossbart, a journalist for E! News, described the Duchess of Cambridge as someone who is as relatable as one can be because she lives in an actual palace and has access to a designer wardrobe.

Prince Charles’ former press secretary, Colleen Harris, previously told People that when Prince William announced he will be marrying Middleton, there were some raised eyebrows in the palace. After all, the mom of three is a commoner.

But many years since she tied the knot with the future king, Middleton has adapted well into her role as the Duchess of Cambridge.

Ingrid Seward, a royal biographer, described Middleton as someone who is dutiful but is leading behind the scenes. Lorraine Heggessey, CEO of the Royal Foundation, dubbed Middleton as incredibly wise.

“Kate is not somebody who pushes herself forward. She is very confident in her views. She often spots the nub of the issue or a critical thing that needs dealing with,” Heggessey said.

Markle, on the other hand, has perfected pushing herself forward amid an issue. As a young girl, she wrote to Proctor & Gable regarding the brand’s misogynistic tagline for their dishwashing liquid.

Aaron Korsh, the producer of “Suits,” said that Markle was born poised. “She’s like, ‘That’s not right, I’m writing a letter about that, and I’m going to correct an injustice in the world.’ What makes Harry and Meghan so good together is Meghan is not obligated to advocate for the people – she just wants to,” he said.

Heggessey described Markle as a very smart woman. “I think she will find her royal voice in a way that suits her personality.”

Markle is also more similar to Princess Diana in a such a way that she may involve herself in few charities compared to Middleton that currently has 14. And senior aides at the palace are anticipating how huge Markle’s global influence will be in the near future.

“And how that will make her an incredibly important and powerful asset to the British Royal Family,” the insider said.
