Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s different destinies are what caused their alleged rift, according to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams.

While speaking with Express, Fitzwilliams said that Markle’s extroverted personality is suited for her role as the Duchess of Sussex.

“Kate is going to be Queen Consort one day and Meghan is a humanitarian campaigner whose husband is sixth in line to the throne, which gives her far more independence which someone of her talents and extroverted personality needs. All the signs are that Kate and Meghan, with their very different destinies, do get on but may have little in common,” he said.

“Both have so much to give as is abundantly clear in their public appearances and work for charity and that is what should and I am sure will be maximized in the months and years to come,” he added.

Middleton and Markle have been rumored to be feuding with each other as early as Christmas 2017. Their alleged rift was once again “confirmed” when they appeared in an official engagement with Prince William and Prince Harry in February.

Body language expert Judi James told The Sun that during their panel discussion, it was evident that Middleton and Markle’s reaction toward each other was very strong.

“Kate swings her chair away from Meghan to laugh directly at her husband. Meghan ‘hides’ from Kate by dropping her head so her hair masks her face from Kate while she laughs behind it,” she said.

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan, the host of ITV’s “Good Morning Britain,” seconded Fitzwilliams’ thoughts. He said that the Duchesses’ different backgrounds are what has been causing their rift.

“Kate Middleton is very counties, safe, reliable, not put a foot wrong, almost groomed over a period of years for the role when she was going out with William and so on. You feel like it’s much easier for everybody to have that kind of person occupying one of the top spots if you like,” he said.

“Meghan Markle – completely different background, come from Hollywood, TV star, comes in, sweeps Harry off his feet, and probably finds already the Palace system… probably finds it suffocating.”
