Kate Middleton and Prince William are taking a break from their royal rules after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are taking a break from Feb. 17 to Feb. 21, E! News reported. The couple reportedly wanted to be with their kids on their half-term break from school. Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend Thomas’s Battersea in London.

This isn’t the first time Prince William and Middleton do this. They usually take a break from their royal duties on their children’s half-term break. They have been doing this for years.

Prince William and Middleton tend to slow down with their schedule for half-term annually to have some quality time with their kids. The family hasn’t announced where they will be spending their break, but it is believed that the family deserved it.

Prince William and Middleton have been busy for the few months. The future king and queen have been attending more engagements following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s resignation. Thus, the break will give Prince William and Middleton extra time to be with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Although Prince William and Middleton are loaded with work, an insider said that their busy schedule has brought them closer together. Some believed that it might put a strain on their marriage, but it wasn’t the case.“The Cambridges are busier than ever since Harry and Meghan left the U.K. You’d think their hectic schedule would put strain on the marriage, but it’s actually brought them closer together,” a source told Us Weekly.

“Working as a team and supporting each other is essential at a time like this, and that’s exactly what they’re doing.”

Earlier this week, Prince William and Middleton made a joint appearance with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles when the four royals visited The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Nottinghamshire. The royals had successfully put a united front, but according to a body language expert, their smiles were “a little forced at times.”

Judi James explained that the “royal dream team” worked to send a message of “business as usual.” Also, they were displaying public unity to show that the firm is strong and resilient following Prince Harry and Markle’s resignation and Peter Philip’s divorce announcement.
