  • Kate Middleton and Prince William not pleased with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah
  • The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not talk about the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in their interview
  • The Sussexes do not want to put any more fuel to the rumors that they are at odds with the royal family

Kate Middleton and Prince William were allegedly not pleased with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle doing an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's reaction to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's sit-down interview with Oprah is probably not what their fans expected. Prince William and Middleton are reportedly "appalled" that the Sussexes will be airing their grievance in a televised interview after they were stripped of their honorary military titles and royal patronages.

"It’s just beyond the pale for William and Kate, especially in light of the dreadful timing with [Prince] Philip in the hospital," an insider told Us Weekly. "They are utterly aghast."

Based on the promotions earlier, it will be a "no-holds-barred" conversation. The couple will talk about their lives after the Megxit. The former "Suits" star will open up about marriage, motherhood and how she is handling her life under pressure. On the other hand, Prince Harry will discuss their decision to move to the United States and their future plans, including the expansion of their family.

The insider added that Prince Harry and Markle will not talk about the Cambridges. The two royal couples were rumored to be feuding in the past years, but they are reportedly communicating again.

"They won’t talk negatively about Prince William and Duchess Kate. They don’t want to put any more fuel on that fire," the source added.

Prince Harry and Markle's interview with Oprah was a cause for concern among the members of the royal family, according to another insider. Prince William was reminded of their mom Princess Diana's infamous Panorama interview when he learned about the Sussexes' tell-all interview with Oprah.

During Princess Diana's interview in 1995 with Martin Bashir, she opened up about her marriage to Prince Charles and said it didn't work because there were "three of us in this marriage." Many took her words as a confirmation of the Prince of Wales' affair with Camilla Parker Bowles.

Prince William was furious at Princess Diana for doing the interview. He allegedly told his mom that he couldn't forgive her.

"[She told me] it was the one time William turned on his mother and said, that he would never forgive Diana for what she'd done," Princess Diana's close friend Simone Simmons said.

Meanwhile, the royal family will have a TV special airing on the same day as the Sussexes’ CBS special with Oprah. The announcement sparked rumors that they are competing against each other. However, insiders said the royal family’s special would be about Commonwealth Day and it was already in the works for weeks before the announcement.
