  • Kate Middleton and Prince William were, reportedly, shocked with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit
  • The mom of three, allegedly, called Archie's father and tried to convince him to stay
  • Kate Middleton and Prince William have, reportedly, moved from 'Megxit' crisis already

Kate Middleton and Prince William were said to be two of the most affected members of the royal family after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell exit. Though the Cambridge couple was rumored to be having a rift with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Kate and William were, allegedly, sad over the fact that two of the most vital members of the clan already bid their goodbyes from the royal life.

Woman’s Day Australia, in its Jan. 20, 2020 issue, claimed that Kate and Prince William had a hard time processing the whole “Megxit” drama. Though Meghan and Prince Harry, allegedly, informed the royal family about their plans to live away from the limelight, no one knew that it will be too soon.

A source told the publication that Kate Middleton made a final call to Prince Harry to convince him not to quit. While Prince William was alternating between shock and anger, the mom of three, reportedly, cried and begged Meghan Markle’s husband to stay.

“They watched the full story unfold on the evening news. It was awful,” the tipster said to the entertainment news outlet. “Kate can’t bear to see her husband abandoned by his brother like this. Harry wouldn’t back down though. Kate’s absolutely heartsick it’s turned out this way. She, like most of the family, places the blame squarely on Meghan,” it went on.

CheatSheet have it that Prince William and Prince Harry had a fallout when the Duke of Cambridge questioned his younger brother’s decision to marry the former “Suits” actress after two years of dating. Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s relationship, reportedly, became strained over the way Archie’s mom treat the staff in Kensington Palace.

Three weeks since Harry and Meghan’s bombshell announcement, the Cambridge couple is, allegedly, moving on and already back to business. In fact, Kate and Prince William visited Bradford earlier this month to carry out their first joint engagements of the year.

The father of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis even delivered a veiled message about the “Megxit” crisis during the event. "It’s sometimes trying to get people to understand that’s it’s OK to have these challenges, we just need to deal with them and we need to move forward rather than just be stuck in paralysis and pretend they aren't going to happen,” Prince William stated, per The Sun.
