Kate Middleton is shockingly more popular than Meghan Markle in the U.S.

The Duchess of Sussex grew up in the United States. She was a successful actress before she married Prince Harry. However, a recent poll by YouGov revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge is more popular than Markle in her home country.

Sixty-one percent of the U.S. participants who took the survey preferred Middleton over Markle. Meanwhile, Archie’s mom was praised by 48 percent of the participants.

The poll asks the respondents, “Do you have a favourable or unfavourable view of the following people?” Also listed as options were Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry.

The Queen got the most amount of favorable votes with 69 percent approval. Princess Diana, Prince William and Prince Harry all got 63 percent votes. Prince Philip received 47 percent and Prince Charles got 42 percent.

Middleton being more popular than Markle is not surprising to some because many claim that they didn’t know Markle before she married Prince Harry. In the online forum Quora, some said that she was not really popular in America.

“She wasn’t superstar famous she was tv popular her TV show was based in the USA but filmed in Canada so she wasn’t at red carpet type events a lot of Americans had never heard of her before she started dating Harry,” Sawyer Douglas commented.

“Yeah, because who watches [explicit] ‘Suits’? LOL Americans don’t even know who she is,” another user wrote on Twitter.

In related news, an insider claimed that Markle is not competing with Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are often pitted against each other, from their fashion to their royal roles. However, a source said that Markle is not into the rivalry because she is fully aware that her sister-in-law will be queen one day.
