Kate Middleton takes official photos of her children for a reason.

The Duchess of Cambridge has proven her skills in photography, reflected in the numerous photos of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis that she took herself and shared to the public in the past. Gina Jones from Bumpkins, The Baby Show's lead experts in baby photography, recently noted that aside from Middleton's passion for taking photos, she's doing this for practical reasons.

Middleton reportedly takes official photos of her royal children because she wanted to be "resourceful with money." Doing so apparently also makes their family more relatable, in a way that hiring professional photographers would not.

"It shows how modern Kate and William are by being more accessible and having a hands-on approach," Jones said (via Express). "It also shows that they are resourceful with money as you often see Kate in high street fashion and sometimes repeating outfits and so by taking her own photos this again shows how she is savvy with money."

A few experts previously praised Middleton's talent for photography, with some commenting that the duchess "really captures her children's spirits in the photos."

The Royal Photographic Society also recognized Middleton's skills. In fact, she was given an honorary lifetime membership in recognition of her "talent and enthusiasm."

Earlier this year, Middleton released Princess Charlotte's first day of school portrait. In the snap, the 5-year-old little princess is wearing a matching red coat and shoes. A number agreed that Prince William and Middleton's daughter look like Queen Elizabeth II.

Many noticed that the Queen and the fourth-in-line to the throne have the same Princess Charlotte's first day of school portrait. In the snap, the 5-year-old little princess is wearing a matching red coat and shoes. A number agreed that Prince William and Middleton's daughter look like Queen Elizabeth II.

In May, Kensington Palace released another round of photos taken by Middleton featuring Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. In the snap, Princess Charlotte is giving her little brother a kiss. It was similar to the photo taken by Middleton back in 2015 that also featured Princess Charlotte and her big brother Prince George. In the said picture, the third-in-line to the throne is giving his sister a kiss, too.
