Kate Middleton wore a present from her husband, Prince William, during a recent engagement.

On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Imperial War Museum in South Kensington. She was photographed in a stunning blue dress and nude heels. She paired her outfit with a matching bag. But many also took notice of the gorgeous watch on her wrist.

According to Emily Hodgkin, a journalist for Express, the timepiece was a gift from the Duke of Cambridge. Middleton was wearing the Ballon Bleu de Cartier stainless steel bracelet watch, which is from Princess Diana's favorite brand that costs $6,400.

Prince William reportedly gifted it to his wife in early 2014. He shares the late Princess of Wales' passion for fine watches. Princess Diana also owned a Cartier watch.

When the People's Princess passed away, Prince Harry and Prince William were asked to take a piece of jewelry from her collection as a remembrance. Prince William picked their mom's Cartier Tank Francaise watch that retails at around $8,113. It features a square face and gold bracelet style strap.

Princess Diana received the said watch from his father. In keeping with the tradition, she also gifted Prince William an engraved Cartier watch when the duke was still a little boy. Thus, Cartier is the perfect brand for Middleton.

The Duke of Cambridge has showered Middleton with a lot of extravagant presents. After delivering Prince George, Prince William reportedly gave Middleton a pendant inscribed with "George Alexander Louis" as a push present. Following Princess Charlotte's birth, the Duchess of Cambridge received a pair of green tourmaline, green amethyst and diamond earrings designed by Kiki McDonough as another push present from the Duke.

In July, Prince William and Middleton watched the men's final in the Wimbledon tournament. On the said sighting, the duchess was photographed wearing a citrine ring on her right hand.

There were rumors that it was a push present from Prince William following Prince Louis' birth. However, the ring was actually owned by Middleton years ago.

She was first seen wearing the same band in 2008 when she celebrated her 26th birthday. She was also snapped with the same jewelry when she was leaving Kitts club in Sloane Square with her sister, Pippa Middleton.
