Kate Middleton always tells her children the importance of giving a hug.

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out to attend an event at Basildon Sporting Centre in Essex. During the said visit, the royal couple spoke with the workers from Coach Core, a program that aims to help young people get relevant training to get to sports coaching.

Middleton channeled her sister-in-law Meghan Markle when she hugged a royal fan, Janet Emery. The duchess told Emery that she often reminds Prince George and Princess Charlotte how hugs can make someone feel good.

"Hugs are very important. That’s what I tell my children," Middleton said (as quoted by Express).

During the said visit, Middleton played tennis. On the other hand, Prince William was spotted hurling javelins.

Middleton was compared to the Duchess of Sussex in her recent engagement because she dressed and behaved like Markle. Middleton is often seen wearing dresses but opted for black jeans and heels for the said event. The former "Suits" actress has been wearing pants in various royal engagements but noticeably had a change of wardrobe when she officially becomes a royal.

In addition, Markle is popular for giving hugs. Middleton was seen doing the same and even spoke about the importance of hugging.

In related news, Middleton's life has been featured on Amazon Prime's documentary titled "Kate Middleton: Working Class to Windsor." According to the documentary, the Duchess of Cambridge saved Prince William from a personal disaster.

The Duke of Cambridge had reportedly decided to drop school. Prince Charles was shocked when he learned about it but was understanding enough to device a "withdrawal strategy." However, when the second-in-line to the throne met Middleton, he changed his mind. Prince William continued going to school but did things differently. He swapped Art History for Geography and earned a second-class honors degree.

Prior to Prince William and Middleton's royal wedding, the duchess had a private meeting with Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch reportedly taught Middleton lessons on how to become a royal wife. Her Majesty also shared etiquette lessons to her granddaughter-in-law by showing her how to get out of a carriage and bend down to get flowers from a young girl without exposing her modesty.
