Kate Middleton and Prince William have reportedly planned a big birthday party for their youngest child, Prince Louis, who will be celebrating his second birthday next month.

However, the royal couple has decided to cancel their plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to Closer Weekly, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were planning a get together at Anmer Hall with their son’s friends and an entertainer.

But due to the global health issue, the Cambridges have decided to hold a much smaller celebration with just their immediate family members as guests.

As of late, none of these plans have been confirmed by Prince William, Middleton, or the palace. As such, it is best to take them with a grain of salt. Last year, details from Prince Louis’ first birthday weren’t released to the public.

This year, it is unlikely for his birthday plans to be unveiled especially since Prince William and Middleton won’t be holding royal engagements until further notice. During some of their outings, the royal couple shares new information about their children.

For instance, Prince William revealed during one of his engagements earlier this year that Prince George would’ve loved to try the simulator.

“I need something to show George I’ve been on a digger,” he said.

Meanwhile, it is also unclear if Prince Charles will be able to attend his grandson’s second birthday party even though he’s considered to be an immediate family member because he just got diagnosed with coronavirus.

Clarence House released a statement saying that Prince Charles had been showing symptoms that’s why he decided to get tested. His wife, Camilla, tested negative for coronavirus.

According to People, Prince Charles contacted Prince William and Prince Harry following his coronavirus diagnosis. The source also said that Prince Charles and Camilla remain in good spirits while they are on self-quarantine at the Balmoral estate.

“There is a sense of keeping calm and carrying on. The duchess is concerned for him but she is aware of his own good spirits and therefore is keeping a close eye on him and mindful of her own situation. She is upbeat,” the source said.
