Kate Middleton is following in sister-in-law Meghan Markle's footsteps by wearing statement accessories after she was spotted sporting a pair of earrings from Missoma.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery earlier this week. The couple talked to the employees on how the COVID-19 pandemic affected them and also helped them make a few batches of bagels by hand. Several noticed that during the sighting, Middleton was sporting a pair of Rhodochrosite Gold Mini Pyramid Charm Hoop Earrings from Missoma, People reported.

The duchess' pair of earrings is part of the brand’s Gemstone collection featuring a heart-based healing crystal suspended from a texture gold vermeil hoop. Each piece is designed to radiate love, compassion and all-around good vibes.

Rhodochrosite is the stone of affection and it is believed to encourage love and compassion in relationships. Its gentle properties promote confidence and self-love.

When Markle was still a working royal, she was known to make a statement through her fashion. She also wore accessories from the same brand. When she accompanied Prince Harry during a visit to Edinburgh Castle in Scotland in February 2018, the Duchess of Sussex was photographed wearing Missoma's interstellar ring, Marie Claire reported.

Missoma offers affordable and trendy fashion items that celebrities love. Aside from the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex, several stars including Gigi and Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, Jessica Biel and Julia Roberts wear various items from the brand.

In related news, Middleton and Prince William’s effort to help the bakers at the Beigel Bake shop received mixed reactions from the netizens. Several criticized the royal couple after seeing photos of them handling doughs without gloves and hairnets.

"No gloves, no hair protection....? It’s nice that they do the engagement, but basic rules of hygiene when handling food should be followed," one commented.

"Dealing with food and Kate doesn't have her hair pulled back? Gross," another added.

However, several also defended the Cambridges saying that hairnets and gloves are not required if the food will not be sold to the public. Those Twitter users believed that it was the case when Prince William and Middleton visited the bakery because there were photos of the staff not wearing any gloves and hairnets, too.
