Katie Holmes Celebrates Daughter Suri’s Birthday Without Tom Cruise Amid Pregnancy, Marriage Rumors With Jamie Foxx

Katie Holmes celebrated daughter Suri's 10th birthday Monday in New York while Tom Cruise was in London. Holmes enjoyed with Suri amid rumors about the former's pregnancy and marriage with Jamie Foxx.

"Suri enjoyed a low-key pre-birthday lunch Sunday with Katie, her maternal grandparents and two young girlfriends at Tavern on the Green," a source told People. According to the Daily Mail, Holmes and Suri were also spotted walking hand in hand in Manhattan, with Suri wearing a pink party dress.

Cruise had informed Suri that he won't be able to attend her birthday celebration, giving his “usual excuse” to his daughter, InTouch Weekly reported.

This is not the first time Cruise has skipped meeting his daughter. In November, reports surfaced that the "Mission: Impossible" star had not seen Suri for 800 days. However, Cruise has had “plenty of chances to see Suri in the past,” a source told InTouch Weekly.

Last week, reports said that Cruise wanted to avoid the party because Holmes has been labeled a “suppressive person,” which is a term Scientologists use to describe someone who stands in the way of spiritual progress.

“Suri hasn’t been labeled a ‘suppressive person,’ but Katie has,” the insider told InTouch Weekly. “And her closeness to her daughter likely makes seeing both off-limits to Tom.”

Holmes, who after the birthday party was spotted stepping out alone to attended the 11th Annual Chanel Tribeca Film Festival Artists Dinner, has sparked wedding rumors after she and Foxx were seen wearing similar wedding bands on their ring finger earlier this year. The alleged couple did not make the relationship public fearing the news could drive Cruise “crazy,” according to reports.
