Kelly Clarkson and Andy Cohen discussed dating tips and strategies on Monday's episode of the singer's eponymous talk show.

The 39-year-old singer pressed the 53-year-old Bravo host for his first date secrets during his guest appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show."

"When I’m on dates with people, I always want to know what they think is funny and what shows they watch," Cohen said. "It’s a great way to figure out, to me, are we going to be able to hang together?"

Clarkson agreed that this was a "clever way of picking the weeds," which, the singer admitted, was something she wasn't good at.

"I'm always that person that's like, 'Oh, I don't know. Maybe they were having an off day,'" she shared.

Cohen then quipped that his strategy for terrible first dates is to "cut and run," and the "Voice" coach replied, "We should hang out, so that rubs off [on me]."

The pair also talked about their ideal date night settings. Cohen shared that he prefers a place to enjoy a cocktail, but Clarkson said she was "more of a coffee person."

"I don't know if I'm willing to invest in an evening with you yet," the singer said, before joking, "I'll be single forever."

Clarkson was previously married to Brandon Blackstock. She filed for divorce in June 2020, after nearly seven years of marriage. While they have not yet finalized the divorce, the "Because of You" singer was declared legally single in September.

An unnamed source recently told Us Weekly that more than a year following their split, she has no regrets about ending her relationship with Blackstock.

"She only stuck it out for as long as she did for her kids," the tipster said.

Blackstock and Clarkson share two kids — daughter River, 7, and son Remington, 5. He has two other children from his previous marriage to Melissa Ashworth.

Clarkson recently revealed how her divorce influenced her holiday breakup anthem "Christmas Isn't Canceled (Just You)," from her "When Christmas Comes Around..." album.

"I wrote this song for me, but also because there aren't many holiday songs for people feeling alone or lost or just plain sad other than Dolly Parton's classic 'Hard Candy Christmas,' which we all love," she said during NBC's "Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around."
