Kelly Ripa has clapped back at her critics who commented on her appearance.

Several shows have already returned on air by filming at home, including “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Due to the lockdown, the hosts have to do their own makeup, and some audiences had poked fun at Ripa for looking “shiny” on air.

The “Ed” star didn’t hold back when she fired back at her critics. According to the 49-year-old TV personality, she no longer cares about her looks.

“I don’t care. I have a new outlook on life. Certain things don’t matter any more and my appearance is one of those things that just don’t matter,” Ripa said. “First of all, let me just say, to people commenting about our appearance, 'How dare you and you’re lucky that we actually put clothes on. It’s harder than you think to roll out of bed and come to a TV show.’”

Ryan Seacrest added, “It’s a disaster!”

Ripa shared that there were days when she was close to just bringing her laptop into the bed and livestream from there. “I’m not going to do that because I keep telling myself, ‘You’re a professional and this is still a TV show and the days matter.’ It’s my mantra,” she admitted.

Ripa also shared the makeup she has been using at home. According to her, her makeup, hair products and makeup are locked in the studio, which is closed due to the lockdown, so most of the items she has been using are old.

“I’m not proud of this. I for one have not ordered makeup and I’m just using what I have. Some of it, I’m sure, is probably toxic. It’s probably way past its expiration date,” she added.

In addition, she started digging into her 18-year-old daughter Lola Consuelo’s makeup arsenal.

“I keep putting on my daughter’s self-tanner, thinking that will help,” she said. “So now I’m just in an 18-year-old self-tanner and workout clothes.”

Meanwhile, in February, Ripa announced that she quit drinking. Following her decision, she admitted that she felt great and liked the way she looked, so she decided to stick with it.
