  • Kevin Feige says a lot of actors reject the roles offered by Marvel Studios
  • Feige remains unfazed by the rejections and continues the search for a better actor
  • But sometimes he feels that he is a "failure."

Marvel Studios is undoubtedly one of the biggest studios in Hollywood right now and every actor wants to work with them to skyrocket their popularity among different age groups. But, Marvel’s boss Kevin Feige has revealed that it is not easy to convince actors to be part of the superhero universe.

Speaking at a Q&A session at the New York Film Academy, the 46-year-old producer revealed that he feels really sad when A-list stars reject the roles in the movies produced by his studio and also noted that he keeps on dealing with rejections on a “regular” basis.

Sharing his experience, the President of Marvel Studios disclosed that he wanted a particular actor to play an iconic character in the upcoming Marvel movie and he decided to give him a “big” pitch. But the way that the actor was listening to him, Feige quickly realized that he was not really interested in doing the movie.

“[You think] ‘I guess I am a failure, I’ll show them, we will cast somebody even better,” Feige said.

Later in the discussion, he admitted that he remains unfazed by the rejections and always keeps his head high as he continues to search for a better artist.

“So, it is just a part of it and do not linger on them, is what I usually try to do, do not think much about it, do not stew in it, move on quickly,” Feige said.

His comments come after actors like Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo, Elizabeth Olsen, Karen Gillan, and many other stars have become household names because of Marvel. Not just that, they have earned a lot of money while doing these movies too.

Marvel released three superhero movies in 2019, “Captain Marvel,” “Avengers: Endgame” and “Spiderman: Far From Home.” All the movies turned out to be gigantic hits and each movie crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office. Meanwhile, “Avengers: Endgame” went on to become the highest-grossing movie of all time and displaced James Cameron’s “Avatar” from the numero uno position.

2020 is going to be even bigger as they will be starting Phase 4 with the movie “New Mutants,” which is scheduled to hit the theaters on April 3. Other notable movies releasing next year are as follows:

“Black Widow” – May 1

“Morbius” – July 31

“Venom 2” – Oct. 2

“Eternals” – Nov. 6
