Kim Kardashian has risen to fame thanks to the help of her hit reality series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” and since then, the star has dabbled in fashion and the tech industry. Now she is now taking a leap into the beauty world, which is proving to be just as successful as her previous endeavors.

Kardashian, who recently launched her cosmetics line KKW Beauty, was ecstatic about her new project, but the star took the time to make it clear that she did not receive any help from her husband Kanye West during the creation process.

During a chat with E! News, the reality star explained that her husband is not an expert when it comes to makeup. “That’s totally an area he doesn’t know much about,” Kardashian said.

Although he didn’t have a hand in creating the line, the star revealed that West was proud of her and very supportive of her latest project. “I showed him my Instagram yesterday and we were looking at the product shots and all of the campaign shots and he was just so excited,” she said.

Although Kardashian won’t give her husband credit for her beauty line, she does commend him for helping her change her style. During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” the reality star spoke about what brought her professional relationship with celebrity stylist Monica Rose to an end.

“I will say that I read that it was said that she was the reason for my makeover — my makeover when I met Kanye [West]. I will say that Kanye got me a new team and we kind of documented it. So I think people think that’s the reason, and for me, maybe that is the reason. I needed a new vibe,” she explained.

“For me, I wanted a new vibe, and Kanye wanted to give me a makeover,” Kardashian added.

Fashion aside, the reality star seems to be having success in the beauty industry with her contour and highlighter kits selling out in a matter of minutes. On Wednesday, the star revealed that her website sold out of the beauty kits within the first day they were available.

“So crazy we sold out of all of the Contour and highlight kits!!!! Be sure to check with @kkwbeauty for more updates & new products!” she wrote on Instagram.

During an interview with the New York Times, Kardashian explained that due to legal issues, she had to delay her solo debut into the beauty world.

“I had a line with my sisters, and we were in a licensing deal and a partnership, and it took time to get out of that. Right after, I said, ‘Hey guys, I want to do something on my own.’ Kylie [Jenner] had just started her lip kits, my mom and Kylie had found a really great business model and found great partners. I learned so much from them,” she revealed.

Although she has just started her KKW Beauty line, it looks like she is headed for success. The cosmetic company’s Instagram page already has more than half a million Instagram followers with beauty lovers anxiously waiting for Kardashian to announce a restock of highlighter and contour kits.
