There is a possibility that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's friendship could turn romantic, according to a report.

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star, 40, and the "Saturday Night Live" comedian, 27, made headlines after they were photographed holding hands while riding a rollercoaster. According to multiple sources, they are just pals. But one said there is a chance for them to date.

"No one really knows what is going on with Kim and Pete," an unnamed source told Us Weekly. "They are just friends right now, but things could turn romantic."

The source said the "Selfish" author is still enjoying her life. The tipster also confirmed that Kardashian is still single and is "having fun at the moment." Another insider said she was "surprised" by the amount of chemistry between her and the New York City native.

Another insider confirmed to People that Davidson and Kardashian are "just friends" despite them holding hands while riding a rollercoaster at Knott's Scary Farm in Buena Park, California on Friday.

"They hang in the same circles so they will be together from time to time," the insider said. "It's just friends hanging out."

Following Kardashian and Davidson's outing, she was spotted in the Big Apple Monday, Page Six reported. She is reportedly in the city to attend WSJ Magazine’s 11th annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art.

The outlet noted that the reality star graced one of its Innovator covers and would likely make an appearance on the red carpet. Meanwhile, Davidson has presumably returned to New York City, too, because "SNL" production starts Monday.

Some netizens are urging Davidson to hold dating masterclass and share some dating tips or love advice because, for them, he is a pro in the dating game.

"Kim Kardashian aside, Pete Davidson murders the dating game with girls who are way out of his league. My man must be the most hilarious dude with the best personality. Good for Pete, you love to see it," one Twitter user wrote.

Davidson previously dated Cazzie David, Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber, and most recently, "Bridgerton" star Phoebe Dynevor.
