“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian will not become pregnant again. After having two high-risk pregnancies, the reality star turned business mogul opted to have a surrogate if she and her husband, rapper Kanye West, decide have another child together.

“I'd just love nothing more than to expand my family and just know that I have this world at home that's safe,” she said on Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” “And if for some reason I left this earth sooner than I really wanted to, then my kids would have a support system at home so that I know that they would be OK if I wasn't here.”

In order for Kardashian to potentially get pregnant again, she had to have surgery on her uterus. “Having more kids is definitely going to be a struggle. I've gone through so much with really bad deliveries that the doctors don't feel like it's safe for me to conceive again myself. This surgery is really the one last thing I can try,” she said. “I want my kids to have siblings and I want to know that I did everything I could to make this happen.”

But things didn’t go as planned. There was a complication with her surgery and Kardashian was told she could not have any more children. “I can't carry anymore kids … it's the worst,” she said Sunday. “It's not going to be happy for me.. I had a full break down … I give up.”

Since the surgery didn’t go as planned, Kardashian and West determined surrogacy would be the best option to expand their family. After she had a private discussion with her husband they decided surrogacy could be in their future.

“After talking to Kanye … I always knew surrogacy was an option, now it's my reality,” she said. “Whatever is meant to be will be.”
