You never know what to expect when Kim Kardashian West attends an event where photos are being taken. On Wednesday, the reality star and her husband Kanye West were guests at Wall Street Journal magazine's 2019 Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Kris Jenner, A$AP Rocky, Gigi Hadid, Eddie Murphy, Julianne Moore, and Bette Midler were also in attendance.

Kardashian took her Burberry outfit to the next level, which is nothing out of the ordinary for her. The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star wore an off-the-shoulder denim top with matching denim jeans, while West wore a navy suit paired with a large gold chain. The Canadian tuxedo wasn’t what shocked people most about her outfit, though, it was the leather chaps she chose to pair with it.

Jenner, Jenner’s boyfriend Corey Gamble, and West were also all dressed in custom Burberry.

According to Pop Sugar, Kardashian was at the event to present Riccardo Tisci, Burberry's CCO, with the 2019 Fashion Innovator award.

Kardashian’s outfit was more toned down than what we are used to. This might be because of a recent disagreement Kardashian and West had on an episode of her E! reality show that aired in October. Popculture reported that in the episode, West was upset about the Thierry Mugler gown she wore to the Met Gala, which included a corset. West told his wife that it affected him when pictures of her were "too sexy."

In light of this, the aspiring lawyer recently appeared on “The Real” where she admitted that she is making fashion changes to please her husband’s new lifestyle, which revolves around religion and modesty, Entertainment Tonight reported.

"He's very cautious about what we have in the house. We got rid of TVs in the kids' rooms and removed makeup from North's room,” Kardashian explained to the hosts of “The Real.” "I actually agree with it, but I'm always going to be me."
