Kim Kardashian is on a mission to lose weight, more than a year after the birth of her daughter, North West. Earlier this month, the 33-year-old reality-TV star posted an old photo of herself on Instagram for Flashback Friday, saying she wanted to look like that again.

“#FBF ughhh I am 20 lbs lighter here! This was just 5 years ago! Ok I'm going back on my grind. I gotta get back here!” she wrote.

Since then, Kardashian has become even more adamant about dropping the pounds. She went on a Twitter rant on Tuesday, talking excessively about her body to her over 22 million followers.

Though most would say Kardashian's figure is great as it is, she's obviously not happy with how she looks. Her current trainer, Joey Gonzalez, who works at Barry's Bootcamp, told Radar Online about her intense workouts, and how she plans on dropping the weight. "Kim has been coming in quite regularly lately," he said. "We focus on different areas of the body each day and Kim has been frequenting every class to make sure she gets a full-body workout."
One workout at Barry's Bootcamp can burn up to 1,000 calories, Gonzalez said. "Kim's great attitude and positive demeanor help her burn through the toughest portions of a session and get the maximum burn for her buck," he said.
In addition to working out, Kardashian has to tweak her diet. She will likely go back on the Atkins diet, which apparently worked wonders for her after the birth of North, as she praised the meal plans the diet recommends.

Kardashian lost 56 pounds by following the plan, which calls for drastically reduced carbohydrates and more protein and fat than you find in a normal diet. The body then uses fat as fuel, causing rapid weight loss.

“What distinguishes the Atkins diet is the absence of a lot of carbohydrates, so that leaves out a lot of choices,” “The Great Cholesterol Myth” author Jonny Bowden told E! News recently. “You can make bad choices and good choices, but there's nothing dangerous about the Atkins diet. There really isn't a downside to it."

Though a lot of food options will be resctriced for her, Kardashian is no stranger to discipline. According to OK! Magazine, in order to get ready for her May 2014 wedding to rapper Kanye West, Kardashian drastically restricted her diet. A source at the time said she ate only lean protein and green vegetables because they have more fiber. To keep her on track, her assistant had “a bag of celery sticks at all times.” In addition, Kardashian reportedly drank only water in what is being dubbed “Atkins mania.” “She doesn’t really drink, but she likes a glass of red wine with dinner and coffee in the morning, but her Atkins mania won’t allow her those anymore. She won’t even have a sip,” the source continued.
