Ufotable, the Japanese animation studio behind the hit anime series "Demon Slayer," has confirmed that Tanjiro and friends will return on screen for the series' third season along with the release of the first key visual to celebrate the announcement.

Unfortunately, the team has not revealed the release window of "Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 3 just yet but fans have an idea when to expect the next season's potential launch.

"Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 2 has met or even succeeded every fan's expectations with its stunning animation and impressive plot. Sadly, the TV anime adaptation that keeps fans on the edge of their seat has recently ended.

"Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 3 has been officially confirmed and it is adapting the Swordsmith Village arc of the manga. But, when is it officially releasing?

Based on the team's release pattern, there is a high chance that the third season will launch sometime in the fall of 2022 or in the winter of 2023. The animation studio is consistent with its work output and following the end of the anime's first season, it released the "Mugen Train" movie in the fall of 2020.

The TV recap of the movie started airing in the fall of 2021, so it is possible that Ufotable could release "Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 3 in the fall of 2022, following its release pattern. Fall is also the strongest release window for animes, which runs from September to November.

Some fans believe that "Demon Slayer" Season 3 might launch on the spring broadcast slate in Japan, which falls sometime in April 2023. This release window aligns with the anime's first season release, which was in April 2019.

So far, these are just speculations based on Ufotable's release pattern. Fans should temper their expectations and take these assumptions as highly speculative at this stage.

"Kimetsu no Yaiba" Season 3 will most likely cover chapters 100 to 127 of the manga. The Entertainment District arc covered the same range, which is chapters 79 to 99, so there is a chance the third season will have around 12 episodes just like the second season.
