Kris Jenner said she wasn't concerned that Jay Z, who was set to be the best man, and his wife, Beyoncé, didn't attend her daughter's wedding last month to Kanye West. The superstar couple was expected to attend since West seems close to the Roc-A-Fella entrepreneur who signed him to his record label in 2002. Since then, the two hip-hop artists have had several successful collaborations, including the 2011 “Watch the Throne” album.

But instead of attending the couple's wedding on May 24 in Italy, Jay Z and Beyoncé chose to relax in the Hamptons. During a radio interview Tuesday on Australia's KIIS 106.5 FM breakfast show, Jenner said their absence “was the last thing on anyone’s mind."

"There was so much commotion and excitement. I never really gave that a second thought,” the 58-year-old matriarch of the Kardashian family said. Jenner said that Jay Z and Beyoncé sent their best wishes to West and Kardashian, and she “just assumed they were working.”

Some reports, however, said the famous couple may have just not been interested. “Jay thinks the entire Kimye wedding is a joke and it's being blown way out of proportion,” a source told website RadarOnline in May. When Kim Kardashian landed in Paris, several days ahead of the May 24 wedding in Florence, Italy, the paparazzi descended on the reality-TV star, snapping loads of photos. The couple's wedding made headlines around the world.

“[Jay Z] likes Kanye and Kim, but totally talks smack about them behind their backs," the source said. "When he was asked about the wedding, he just laughed and said, ‘The circus goes to Paris!'”

Jay Z and Beyoncé's own marriage has become strained, according to recent reports that claim Jay Z was frustrated at his wife's closeness to her bodyguard, Julius De Boer, and it has been rumored for months that Jay Z is cheating on Beyoncé. Now, InTouch Weekly claims Jay Z's latest fling is with Casey Cohen, a New York City hostess and reality-TV star who appeared on the canceled Bravo show “Princesses: Long Island.”

“Jay probably sees her twice a month," an insider told the tabloid. "He visits her while she’s working and then they slip away for an afterparty. She’ll hang out with him all night, flirting with him and touching him."
