Lady Gaga gave her leather jacket to a woman after hearing her moving story about her gay friend and brother.

The “Rain On Me” singer has touched several lives by being an active advocate of various organizations. Lady Gaga is also an active supporter of the LGBTQ community.

Shannon McKee appeared on “Today” and shared her encounter with the “Poker Face” hitmaker at a market in Malibu, California. According to her, she noticed Lady Gaga due to her jacket.

“I walked in and I was like, ‘Hey, that’s a really bad a— jacket you got on,’” she told the singer.

“And she said, ‘Thank you.’ I kind of recognized the voice, but I'm not one to really go up to celebrities.”

McKee didn’t take the time to chitchat with Lady Gaga. However, she later decided to go back to the “A Star Is Born” actress to tell her how much she touched the lives of the people in her life.

“I did have a story that I wanted to share with her, and I felt this need that she needed to hear it from me,” McKee continued.

“And so when I went back, I was like, ‘Hey, you're Lady Gaga, right? My best friend back in high school was a huge fan of yours. And you’re the reason he actually came out to me. And his first five tattoos are all dedicated to you and my brother just recently came out to me, too. So I just wanted to say thank you for being such an incredible ally.’”

Lady Gaga appeared to be moved by her story and told McKee to tell her friend that she loves him. She was also caught by surprise when the singer took off her jacket.

At the time, Lady Gaga was out with her boyfriend Michael Polansky and didn’t want to pose for photos. So, she handed McKee her jacket.

“As I was telling her the story about my friend, she took off her jacket and was like, 'You loved my jacket so much. Here. It's yours. Put it on right now. You be bad a— with it now,'” she recalled.

The exact moment Lady Gaga handed her jacket to McKee was captured by the paparazzi.

Lady Gaga has showed love for the LGBTQ community over the years. In fact, in a previous interview, she said she wanted to “inject gay culture into the mainstream.”
