Hannah (Lena Dunham) and Marnie (Allison Williams) will not have storylines with Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) in the “Girls” Season 6 finale. HBO

Lena Dunham just confirmed that Zosia Mamet and Jemima Kirke won’t be part of the finale episode for “Girls” Season 6!

On Monday, April 10, the executive producer and star of the hit HBO series posted a photo of herself with Mamet and Kirke. Dunham captioned the photo by thanking her co-stars for being part of “Girls” for the past six seasons. A few hours later, Dunham decided to delete the photo.

Mamet’s Shoshanna and Kirke’s Jessa were last seen in Season 6, episode 9, titled “Goodbye Tour.” In the episode, Shoshanna made it clear that she didn’t want to have anything to do with Hannah (Dunham). Her decision is one the main reasons why she won’t be featured in the finale.

Jessa, on the other hand, finally had her much needed closure with Hannah. Jessa, who is currently dating Hannah’s ex-boyfriend, Adam (Adam Driver), apologized to Hannah for all of her mistakes. The lead character also asked forgiveness for her wrongdoings. Both of them broke down in tears, and Jessa gave Hannah’s baby a dress.

Meanwhile, the rest of the main cast of “Girls” Season 6 are expected to be part of episode 10. Hannah has not yet reconciled with one of her best friends, Marnie (Allison Williams). Hannah and Elijah (Andrew Rannells) are also expected to have at least one scene in the upcoming installment. According to TV Line, Hannah’s mom, Loreen (Becky Ann Baker), will also make an appearance in “Latching.”

The finale episode will primarily focus on Hannah leaving her friends and family behind to pursue a new career outside New York. Other storylines from the upcoming finale are still being kept under wraps by the network.

“Girls” Season 6, episode 10 will air on HBO on April 16 at 10 p.m. EST.
